Princess Beatrice's Royal Wedding Hat Gets Attacked on Facebook

Princess Beatrice's HatA group dedicated to mocking the “ridiculous” Philip Treacy topper has already attracted 12,400 fans.

The Philip Treacy hat that Princess Beatrice wore to the royal wedding Friday is being mocked endlessly online.
A Facebook group called Princess Beatrice's Ridiculous Royal Wedding Hat had more than 12,400 followers just a few hours after the wedding ended. PHOTOS: What Kate Middleton and famous guests wore to the wedding
"I think it's actually a uterus and fallopian tubes," joked one member of the tan hat with a swirling bow. (Her matching dress was Valentino Haute Couture.)
"In the church. It was like the devil peering over the Queen's shoulder. Scary really," joked another. PHOTOS: Kate Middleton and Prince William say "I Do"
"She looked like a creature from Dr Who," wrote another.
One site noted her dress and matching coat were "elegant, but her headpiece was deemed to be a ludicrous addition, perching on her forehead at an impossible angle and detracting from her sophisticated outfit." PHOTOS: Famous royal weddings
Not everyone hated on Beatrice's hat.
"Yes, Beatrice's hat certainly deserves a Wall of It's own, but there were lots of great Runner-ups in the crowd too....let's not leave them out either. British women are gutsy...I take my hat off to them!! :D," wrote one fan on Facebook. PHOTOS: The 9 wackiest wedding celebrations
Treacy created 36 hats for the royal wedding, including for Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, Princess Eugenie, Princess Michael of Kent, Queen Anna-Marie of Greece, Victoria Beckham and Princess Mathilde of Belgium.

    Wedding Planning

For many a bride and groom, weddings involve more than simply booking a banquet hall for the gala reception and ceremony. Coordinating by using a wedding checklist makes the most sense, allowing you to checklist your items and keep all of your wedding planning details in order.

You have found the perfect life partner. Now, plan your perfect wedding. Regardless of where you decide to have your wonderful day, the event will call for a significant amount of planning along with ideas and information.

Planning a wedding involves many things, including invitation ideas, bridesmaid dresses, attire for mother of the bride, not least selecting the right bridal flower bouquets. Most importantly, you'll need to make your wedding fun and fabulous. Every wedding has a budget, be it a no-hold extravaganza or a low-key smaller affair. And both can be a beautiful fun day for everyone. Most brides and grooms feel overwhelmed in the process of wedding planning. Begin by creating a personalized month-by-month checklist with an approximate wedding date. Add all meetings related to the wedding to your checklist so you don't forget.

The reception party is where all your guests come together to celebrate your new life as a married couple. It should reflect and complement the formality of your ceremony. The reception site should be selected depending on its availability, price, proximity to the ceremony site, and the number of people it can accommodate. The entertainment you choose will depend on the type of wedding ideas planned - from the classical stringed quartet to the full on wedding band.

Writing your own vows is a good idea if you want to give the ceremony a personal touch. Don't shy away from this as each one of us is a sucker for romance; and the vows will add an intimacy to the ceremony.
The dress will be the center of attention for the whole wedding. The perfect dress should make the bride feel and look beautiful. A well-fitted dress is flattering to the figure. But most importantly it should be comfortable to wear all day long. The photographs are going to be the lasting feature of you big day so you want them to be as fabulous as possible. Take recommendations from friends and people who have recently got married. You can always cut costs on the big day without compromising on style and atmosphere. You can organize it yourself, with friends and family to help with things like the video camera and driving guests from the ceremony to the after party.

You may also consider hiring a wedding planner. Given the fact that most brides are working professionals, finding time to compare vendors and review deals can be near impossible. A wedding planner is a consultant providing professional advice to guide you through your wedding plans. They will understand your needs and make a wedding which reflects your style, taste and personality, all within your desired budget. Some consultants offer end-to-end wedding planning services, while others offer a-la-carte services for more budget-conscious couples. Most important of all, the wedding day is about both of you bonding together in a lifetime partnership with each other. So savor the moments of the ceremony and celebrate the time taken for the wedding planning as it is upon this that the rest of your lives will be built.

Planning the Wedding; Don't be Overwhelmed by It

Planning the Wedding; Don't be Overwhelmed by It

Easy-to-follow Steps in Order to Keep Sane When Newly Engaged

Planning the Wedding When Just Engaged - Rmontiel
Planning the Wedding When Just Engaged - Rmontiel

Getting engaged is a wonderful experience but some people start panicking almost right away. They want to start planning the wedding but they don’t know where to begin. Relax! Take one step at a time and don’t be overwhelmed by the whole planning process. Start by reading these essential steps and the basis of the wedding day will be ready in no time!

    Enjoying the Engagement

First of all, enjoy being engaged. Don’t start running around like a frantic only 5 minutes after he or she has popped the question. Book a table at a restaurant and go celebrating or open a nice bottle of wine at home. In short: enjoy those first days of being engaged!

    The Engagement Announcement

Announcing the engagement is very fun and can be done in special ways as well. But couples who want to rush out and tell the world that they are married should take a pause! The appropriate thing to do in a situation like this is tell the parents first before telling anyone else. Who would want their parents to find out about their engagement via aunt Betty or the local florist?
After the parents and close relatives know about the engagement, it is time to tell everyone else! There are numerous ways to do this: call everyone and tell them, have it printed in the local newspaper, set up a wedding website, mailing a formal announcement... Couples should choose a way that fits them best.

    Thinking About Wedding Budgets

Now that everyone knows about the engagement and upcoming wedding, it’s time to set the budget. Couples can check their savings accounts or politely ask their parents if they wish to contribute some money to the wedding. Brides and grooms should also think about how much they wish to spend on the wedding. Just because they have $35,000 in saving accounts does not mean they should invest all of it in the wedding.
It’s also possible to ask wedding guests not to bring presents, but to buy a part of the honeymoon. They can for instance choose to buy part of an excursion, one night in the bridal suite and more. This way, guests actually know what their money will be used for and the couple doesn't need to invest a lot of money in the honeymoon. Inform at the local travel agency for possibilities.

    Get Some Wedding Help

Planning the wedding is not something a couple can do on their own. At least not if they wish to keep their sanity. Ask friends and relatives is they would like to help plan the wedding. They can provide wedding planning ideas, helpful tips or take care of one part of the wedding. For instance: ask a brother or sister to help look for the perfect wedding party DJ.

    Wedding Planning Books

Need additional inspiration? Buy some wedding planning books. They usually contain great checklists for planning the wedding. Print out such a list and put it in a wedding journal or hang it in a visible place. It’s a great tool to check what still needs to be done and whenever a wedding project is finished, it can be crossed off with a big red marker!

Relax and Enjoy Planning the Wedding

No need to stress out when engaged. It’s easy to be overwhelmed by the thoughts of having to plan a wedding, but get some help from relatives and/or friends and everything will be just fine!
